Ivy as Caturday Art

For this week Caturday Art Ivy is our model.  I processed this photo as a watercolor.  Ivy seems to get smaller and smaller as she ages.  She is 17 this year and with CRF and being FIV+, I think that is pretty incredible.  Her fur is getting more white and her tiny  body is getting thinner even tho she is eating well - but she is as feisty and active as ever.

She loves butter and gets some when I have my muffin for breakfast and then again when she gets her sub c fluids twice a week.  She knows and waits for the butter.  She has such a huge personality - quite a character.

We are having a heat wave and the cats spend their day sleeping in air conditioned comfort.  Hope every one stays cool and and has a restful weekend!  Happy Caturday.

To join in Caturday Art stop by Athena and Marie for their blog hop. And we joined the Sunday Selfie by Cat on my Head.

Caturday Art

Sweet Rosa posing in just a hint of light.  I processed this like a watercolor and liked the result.  Black cats are difficult to photograph at best.

Wishing everyone in the states a wonderful holiday weekend.

Neighbor Cat Jack in Caturday Art

I processed this photo of our neighbor cat Jack to look like a watercolor.  (Click on the photo to bignify it for better viewing). I was out taking shots of the daffodils in the yard along the woods and he was right there with me.  He got bored and wandered into a sun puddle on the hillside above me when I spotted this pose.  Since my cats are indoor only, I enjoy having his visit so I can take photos of him in the yard.

Thanks again for the kind comments for my last Caturday Art post and for Lily. Her oral tumor is growing again but she is still eating and enjoying her time with us.We have a vet visit today to see what else we can do.

Lily for Caturday Art

It is me Lily for the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by Athena - this is our first entry, we think.  Mom took this of me in the kitty bed and made it look like a painting.  Pretty cool.

As you all know, I have cancer in my mouth and was not doing too well but the vet gave me a shot of a mega anti inflammatory on Tuesday and I have been doing MUCH better since then.  I am very busy all day, watching birds, hanging with my beans, going on the porch to get some fresh air and even eating a little bit on my own.  I know this is temporary but it sure feels a lot better than a week ago.  The vet told Mom we can get two more shots if this one starts to wear off and I feel yucky again.Thank you all soo much for the kind comments and purrs for me.  They do help Mom get thru this and I know they help me feel better for a lot longer.

I am just enjoying each day and living in the now.  Isn't that what we all are supposed to do anyway?
