Wishing You a Peaceful Holiday!

Lily here (that's me in our holiday card) to thank you for all our ecards and snail mail cards.  Due to the illnesses of both Georgie and Snowball during the past weeks, Mom didn't get to post your cards on our blog.  She sent some out and emailed some (many came back for lack of postage!!!) - if she didn't get to you, please take our card with sincere apologies.

Georgie is still not well - she is not eating or "doing her business" in the litter box.  Nothing showed in her blood work or during the exam.  If things have not changed by Friday she will be x-rayed at the vet, hopefully showing some reason why this is going on. Meanwhile Mom and Pop are taking turns assist feeding Georgie to keep her blood glucose up and to prevent fatty liver disease from not eating. Please purr for her to get well.

Me, Lily under our tree.
The holidays can be tough on those who are having upsetting things going on in their lives at this time.  With this in mind, our wish to you,  is to have a peaceful Christmas filled with the love of friends and family, both two and four legged..

Merry Christmas!

We got our tree in early December from a local Christmas tree farm.  This is a long tradition in Mom's family.  We set it up at home and let it be for a few days to let us kitties get used to it before  it gets all prettied up.

Minnie is chief snoopervisor and likes to make sure the lights all work before they go on the tree.  "All systems go", she says!

Somehow Mom misplaced a box of holiday decorations and in it was our angel tree topper!!!  She had this fairy Santa with wings so I guess that will have to do this year.  Hope you like our smallish tree - we have a small home so it fits us.

Merry Christmas from our house to yours!!!  Have a wonderful holiday. We will post before the New Year so see ya next week.

Early Christmas for the Whitesters!

Me, Two Spot

Two Spot here today. Our Aunt Sallie gave us a big cat tree a couple of years ago and we have torn that thing to shreds - Mom will have to recover it.  She left it in our catio as we love the perches on it.  So when Mom went by Brother Wolf Animal Rescue to drop off some dog food, she visited their thrift shop and found a big cat scratcher with a perch.  This is an early Christmas gift for us from her and Pop.

Our new perch/scratcher
Nip makes me happy!

We love our new perch - Mom sprinkled some catnip on it to make sure everyone will come see it and sure enough we did.  I was the first one to try it out and the others came out from their hidy spots.  Mom drapes blankets over our chairs to give is warm snuggle spots in the winter to nap.  I am a big fan of nip - can you tell?

Al checks it out.

Al found it and everyone left - they are afraid of Al as he can be a bully sometimes.  He really get crazy over nip! Have you gotten any early gifts yet?

Thank you for all your Christmas cards - both email and snail mail.  Mom will post about them and put the rest of them on the blog this week - promise!!
