Neighbor Cat Jack in Caturday Art

I processed this photo of our neighbor cat Jack to look like a watercolor.  (Click on the photo to bignify it for better viewing). I was out taking shots of the daffodils in the yard along the woods and he was right there with me.  He got bored and wandered into a sun puddle on the hillside above me when I spotted this pose.  Since my cats are indoor only, I enjoy having his visit so I can take photos of him in the yard.

Thanks again for the kind comments for my last Caturday Art post and for Lily. Her oral tumor is growing again but she is still eating and enjoying her time with us.We have a vet visit today to see what else we can do.

For more Caturday Art visit Athena and Marie.

Happy 15th Gotcha Day to Darby on St. Patrick's Day!

Me as the St Pat's Day Queen

It's me Darby!  Mom has not done a blog post about me in a while.  I am 16 this year and this is my 15th Gotcha Day.  Wow - I guess I am getting up there in years.  It has been a fun time living all these years with this gang of cats. Everyone is wearing green today to help me celebrate!

Snowball looks dapper in his hat.

Smidge is trying to pretend that mug is not hers.

Even shy Woody dressed up for me.
If you are new and would like to read my Gotcha Day story - go to Introducing DarbyThe second part is here.We have some fun treats to thank you for coming to my party - nip wine for those old enough to imbibe, (nip for those who can handle it) cookies and a rainbow cake for all.

May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
~Irish Blessing

P.S. UPDATE on Lily - she is perky and doing well considering the lump in her mouth.  We hope to have her with us a bit longer.  Thanks for the good thoughts for her.

Lily for Caturday Art

It is me Lily for the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by Athena - this is our first entry, we think.  Mom took this of me in the kitty bed and made it look like a painting.  Pretty cool.

As you all know, I have cancer in my mouth and was not doing too well but the vet gave me a shot of a mega anti inflammatory on Tuesday and I have been doing MUCH better since then.  I am very busy all day, watching birds, hanging with my beans, going on the porch to get some fresh air and even eating a little bit on my own.  I know this is temporary but it sure feels a lot better than a week ago.  The vet told Mom we can get two more shots if this one starts to wear off and I feel yucky again.Thank you all soo much for the kind comments and purrs for me.  They do help Mom get thru this and I know they help me feel better for a lot longer.

I am just enjoying each day and living in the now.  Isn't that what we all are supposed to do anyway?
