White Mancat Monday

Snowball here. It's time to focus on us white mancats this week...enough of the senior kitties! I am the head mancat (Al thinks he is but I know who is).

This is Two Spot, the hyper one of us. He zips around ...zip, zip, zip. Never stops!

Norm is the manly silent type...always there but very quiet and dignified!

Only is our special boy - he is very shy and loves his Mom. Whenever things get a little too busy here, he hides in the cabinet. You can here the bang, bang, bang of the door when he tries to get inside!



Al...is ....well, Al. He is pretty laid back these days, for him that is. We are going try one of those Calming Collars on him. Hope he lets the beans put it on him. We will keep you posted if it works..so many folks have said it was great. Keep your fingers (or paws) crossed!


And lastly of us white mancats is Sam..he is another quiet one. If you bother him in his hidy place he will hiss and growl but don't mind that. He is a sweety..just likes to be alone!


That is it for today. Mom and Pop have been busy replacing all the screens on our porch this past week. Mr. Bear torn a few of them last year trying to get in! Mom will try to catch up on her visiting...she is getting WAYYYYYY behind! Sorry about that. We cats take a lot of time to take care of!

Today's word in Photo Hunt is sparkle...the kitties are chasing the sparkle of the red light on the floor of their screen room. (You have to bignify to see it) Sorry...Mom did not want to dig out the Christmas tree shots for a better sparkle photo!

Forever Friday

Mom has decided that on Fridays we will feature a cat that is available for adoption at one of our local shelters...to help them find a forever home.

Today we will feature Clubber...If you are a fan of the cartoon "Plugger", you will be a fan of this big senior cat! All black Clubber has 6 toes, thus the name. To see him, you would think "Bruiser", but to know him is to think huggable bear, just like Grandpa! He would be the perfect companion for a quiet, calm household. Clubber is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

Mom wants to thank all of you who left sympathy messages..she will stop by to thank you personally.

In Memory...

This has been a sad week for Mom and Pop. They haven't much felt like blogging. After Grandmom passed we found out this week that Mom's best friend who was like her sister died unexpectedly of heart issues. Kathy was only 59 and left two young daughters behind.

We don't live near Kathy's family but she did come to visit us and loved critters. She met Chica and Yoko in Florida when she visited us there. They have three cats in their home who will miss Kathy for sure.

Mom and Kathy went to college together and had lots of fun double dating. They could wear each other's clothes and would always swap them. Kathy had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh..she had a twinkle in he eye that was contagious! Kathy was an only child like Mom so they became real close.



When Mom got her first job in Connecticut after college she lived in Kathy's family's beach house until she found a place to live. Kathy was living in Boston and working too. Mom was close to Kathy's mom Ellie who would come by the beach house and hang out with Mom. Mom's parents loved Kathy like their own too and loved to have her come by.



Kathy got married and moved to Maine and had two little girls. Mom had moved to Florida with Pop so they kept in touch with notes, cards and phones calls..lots of phone calls. Kathy was who Mom would call whenever there was something new and exciting or a problem she needed help with. Kathy was like her big sister.





We have been helping our Mom by sitting on her lap with her and purring for her. Mom is thinking of making a blog to honor her friend Kathy and to let everyone tell their stories about her for her daughters to have to remember her by.


Mom will be back to blogging next week as usual. Thanks to all of you who stopped by this week and offered condolences for Grandmom. We really appreciate everyone! See ya next week.
