Femme Friday - Our Last Hatting

It is our final Femme Friday with two of the older cats featured today. We love our hats by Judi from Sammy and Andy's Place!  Chica looks stunning in her teal and white hat.  She has had CRF for 4 years now and is going to be 20 this summer!  We love her dearly and dote on her with special treats and extra special love.  She is still a fiesty girl and when she wants attention she stands on her hind legs and pounds her front feet on the wall, blinds or even a framed print on the wall knowing we will go get her to make her stop!

Yoko is a young 17 and will be 18 come March! She is a quiet girl, living most of her life in the shadow of larger than life Chica.  Yoko likes having all the other cats now cuz she blends in and can do what she wants without Chica messing with her.  She is Daddy's girl and will sit next to or on Pop whenever she can. Both Yoko and Chica came to us when we were living in Florida, joined us in our move to North Carolina - have moved seven times and went from just two cats to so many they probably lost count!  They are real troopers and we never expected to have them both this long.  We are so grateful.

Georgie is a very sweet girl and only a young 4 years old.  She is from Lily's first litter with Sam, Woody and Norm.  A very girly girl who loves to be petted and fussed over. She is very quiet but knows how to tell us what she wants.  She will tug at Mom's clothes if she wants food, a refill or a treat. She is sweet and very pretty with a perfect little face.

Thanks for stopping by to see the last of our girls in hats - we would like to leave you with some great hat quotes.....

"Fashion is a kind of communication. It's a language without words. A great hat speaks for itself."

"Whenever you wear your hat, your day will be special."  (Margo Nickel)

"Luxurious, flirty and at times a bit sexy.  We're out to prove a great hat can change your day."  (Plaza Suite hats)

The rush of power to the head is not as becoming as a new hat. (Helen Van Slyke)

We just know inside that we're queens. And these are the crowns we wear. (Felecia McMillan)

You can flirt with a fan in your hand. You can flirt holding a cigarette, too.  But a woman can really flirt with a hat. (Dolores Foster)

I myself have 12 hats, and each one represents a different personality.  Why just be yourself? (Margaret Atwood)

If a woman rebels against high heeled shoes, she should take care to do it in a very smart hat. (George Bernard Shaw)

With the right hat, nothing else matters.  (LaPaloma Hats)

Have a great weekend!

Femme Friday - Midnight with a Touch of White

Here are some more gorgeous ladycats in hats by Judi of Sammy and Andy's Place! Thanks Judi for doing such a wonderful job!

Mamacita looks very sophisticated in her silver hat.  She is one of our chubby cats - big rotund body, round face, no neck and short legs. When she and her daughter Rosa play, the thuds and bangs sound like huge Sumo wrestlers going at it on the mat!  She loves to be petted and sit on Mom's lap or next to her but is still very skittish and will run away to hide if things get too loud or hectic in the house.  She loves Joey and you will find Mamacita, Joey and Rosa smushed together on the chair sleeping.

Our second ladycat is also a house panther - Rosa, Mamacita's daughter.  Rosa has come out of her shell more these days but does spend a lot of time during the days under the bed or sofa.  Mom calls her our vampire cat cuz she prefers to come out at night!  She is also a plus size girl and is very close to her mom Mamacita.  They are usually together, napping, cleaning each other and just hanging out.

Doesn't Smidge look lovely and so feminine?  She is another tomboy cat who is the sister to Only, Two Spot and Tabitha.  Mom thought she was a boy and didn't find out for sure until she got her back from being neutered...um uh spayed!  Smidge is a rough and tumble cat who likes her food and will growl and chase anyone away from her plate even tho she is a slim and tiny girl. She lets the boys know what they can do and not do. She has softened up a bit and enjoys it when Mom and Pop love her up.  She is usually with her Mom Lily or by herself - very independent!

We would like to remind everyone that Moosie is still looking for a forever home for Christmas - we need to keep putting her name out here and purring for a miracle for her.  Click here to read about Moosie. Don't forget to help out the homeless cats and dogs this holiday season by donating time, money or supplies.

We are all doing well - it has been very cold here nights in the teens and days in the 20s but we are safe and snug in our cat room and the house, napping and watching bird/pony/goat TV! . Mom is going to take a few days off this blog to work on adding more great things to sell on her Wildcat Woods Vintage Treasures blog - we are donating 20% of our income in December to help Chrystal and her rescue organization.  Deb is also holding and auction to help Chrystal too so check out the great deals at Deb's Emergency Auction site. Please stop by and feel free to pass these blog sites on to other folks who might want to help out Chrystal and our feral cats.  Have a good week and see ya in a few days!

Femme Friday

Three more of our ladycats have been hatted by Judi, Sammy and Andy's mom.  Doesn't Tabitha look stunning? She is a tomboy cat with lots of brothers.  Nothing stops her from rough and tumble play.  She is loving and affectionate too. and is the first one on the bed when Mom wakes up wanting to snuggle and make biscuits.

Senior ladycat Ivy is another rough tough cookie having lived most of her life outdoors.  She has gotten to be very much a lap cat in her older years and loves to snuggle on Mom. She makes all sorts of funny noises because she has allergies and her breathing is noisy with snorts, gurgles and whistles.  And then when she talks it sounds more like a crow than a cat!

And darling Minnie is a sweet girl, always up for a love.  She likes to eat treats and will beg Mom for them all the time.  If she hears the treat bag, she appears out of nowhere.  She has such a fun personality and is always getting herself into mischief - stealing candy from the coffee table dish, getting stuck between the screen window and glass one, snuggling inside one of the dresser drawers.

Hope you enjoyed our lovely ladies today.  we also want to invite you to take a copy of our holiday card below.  Mom tried to get pictures of the cats with the Santa hat on and ended up with cute outtakes of Only and Two Spot playing with it.  We will also be exchanging cards through the mail - wait until you see the shots Mom got for these! Add your address to our form in the sidebar if you want to join in.

Mom and Pop went to a Christmas tree farm yesterday and got a Frazer Fir  tree and wreath. Have a great weekend everybody - we will be trimming our tree over the weekend!  We can't wait!!!!

P.S. Our friends Hubblespacepaws just posted that sweet Murph (back in May we all helped find a home for Murph when we found out his bean Mom was dying) has gone to the Bridge. Please stop by.

Femme Friday

We are sooo excited to be hatted by the talented and creative Mom Judi of Sammy and Andy from Sammy and Andy's Place..  There are a lot of ladycats in this household so we are doing a few at a time.  This week we are featuring....drumroll pelase.......

Demure Darby

Spectacular Sweet Pea

and Legendary Lily!

Don't they look so glamorous?  We are just thrilled. Thank you so much Judi - you did a great job as always!

We did not do our usual Forever Friday post this week to bring you this splash of glam but we would like to ask your help in rescuing some kittens.

Winging Cat Rescue has been trying to save some adorable kittens and we have their photo with the Chip-In button below it in our sidebar.  Thanks to you the ones we posted yesterday who were in dire need have been rescued.  Please pass this picture on, Tweet it, post on Facebook or donate even a small amount to help get the funds needed by Saturday November 20 to rescue Bonnie and Clyde! Every little effort counts and Sammy and Andy are the proof of what we as a group can do! Thank you each and every one.

Have a wonderful weekend!
