Model Monday with Callie

Mom caught me Callie sitting in a sun puddle the other day and shot this photo.  She was trying to get the light on me without all the details and this time it came out.  Her photo club voted her on the Popular Page for this!  Kinda like my Angel sister Chica who came before, I don't photograph well in natural light due to my dark tortie colors.

It has been 2 months and 2 weeks since I came to live at Wildcat Woods and I feel like I have always been here.  I love my kibbles and sit by my bowl when anyone is in the kitchen to beg for some - it doesn't always work. Mom says I didn't get food consistently when I lived outside so now I want it all the time even tho I don't eat it all.  I am not a lap cat but do like to sit near Mom or Pop or even on the same chair and get loved up. I am very relaxed here and will fall asleep on the floor in a sun puddle with my tummy to the sun.  It makes my humans happy to see this - I don't know why.  Mom calls me Callie Callie Calico and I come to her when I hear her calling me.  I love it here!!!

We hope you enjoyed the Rubber Ducky Day photos - come back tomorrow for National Squirrel Appreciation Day - Mom has some fun shot of the squirrels outside our house.  We love squirrel TV!!!!  Do you have any funny squirrel shots or stories - post them on Jan 21!

We are asking for purrs for our special friend Moosey of Animal ShelterVolunteer Life.  He is at the vet overnight and not feeling well.  His humans are very sad and worried.

Model Mancat Monday with Only

"Your eyes are the door to your soul and the road to your heart"

- Luis Lira

Our Only is our model today  He has the most incredible eyes - doesn't he?  Mom says he should be a lounge singer!

It is bitterly cold in the US this week and many have snow and ice.  You guys take care of your pets but make sure your neighbors cats and dogs have a warm safe place to go.  Mom and her buddy helped a young minister down the road set up an igloo lined with straw to sleep in instead of the small uninsulated home he has.  The young man promised to move Sadie indoors on the worst nights.  They can't afford much but they mean well and love their dog.  Many people are in the same boat.

Another friend has gone to the Bridge - Tiger of Mickey's Musings.   She slipped away at home with her beloved family.  They lost Tillie in Nov. 2013. To many so close together! Please so go by to visit.

Stay safe and warm this week!  Love you guys!

Model Monday with Woody

Mom did this one in November of me Woody.  She highlighted my colors to make it more dramatic.  We have been experiencing loss of Internet, depending on the weather so have not been able to post or comment regularly. We can't even pot pics on Facebook!  Boo to ATT!

We have received so many lovely cards for the holidays both snail mail and e-cards.  Mom is trying to get them up on the blog when she can.  Thank you to all who remembered us and also those who also sent sympathy cards for Yoko. She is missed so much every day, especially this time of year.  Mom still has the sads about Yoko.  we are trying to cheer her up.

We will post for Christmas of course so do come back by when you can.  Here is one of me in front of our tree!

Mancat Model Monday with Snowball

Loved on 365 Project
Love - Snowball loving on his Pop.

We want to thank you all for your kind words, cards and messages about our sweet Yoko. Mom is still getting back to everyone to thank them personally.

Snowball is our model today and he has been having some rough times. A few days after we lost Yoko, he became obstructed and we had to bring him to the vet for enemas.  He did real well with all the procedures and finally hours later got down to business only to become blocked again a few days later.  Back to the vet again on Friday and he got another enema plus fluids.

So far so good - he has been able to move his bowels.  It looks like we are on a protocol of chia to keep regular, special goats milk with added probiotics, lactulose to soften  and pumpkin for fiber. It is working but we will have to give him fluids every few days to help move things thru.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions and advise from those who have been there.  We hope to have things working smoothly soon.  The vet mentioned megacolon as something that may be going on or not.  Time will tell on that one.  We appreciate all the purrs and prayers for our dear boy.

We are waaay behind on our cards so expect them for New Years!  The tree is up and with lights on it when Mom did that for Yoko but she has not had the heart to finish decorating it.  It will be a toned down quiet holiday this year.  But that is OK!

Model Monday with Yoko (And Purrs Please)

Dec 3 UPDATE - We have some pain meds to give Yoko if she seems uncomfortable or agitated.  We gave her some last night and she slept well.  The tumor is in her jaw bone and is growing rapidly.  She can still breathe comfortably and is eating.  I am giving her lots of anti-cancer herbs and nutrients in a bit of Catsip to help her feel comfy as long as possible.  The vet seemed to think we only had days left so we will savor each moment until it is time for her to go to the Bridge.  I know Joey and Chica are with her now and will guide her in this transition.  Thank you all so much for your kind words of support and friendship.  We lvoe you all.

Dec 2 UPDATE - not good.  It is what I suspected - a rapidly growing mass under her jaw and already pushing up under her tongue. Nothing they can do for her. I do not want her to suffer but other than the lump, she is eating well, and perky, alert etc. This will be hard to know when to let her go before she is too far along. All we can do is love her and make her comfortable until we know her time is near.  Keep us in your thoughts.

Mom took these two shots of me for her 365 photo project one day when I was looking out the window watching bird TV.  I have to go to the V-E-T today cuz I have a lump on my lower jaw.  It came fast since I was at the V-E-T a couple of months ago and Mom is very worried.   I feel OK tho, considering my CRF and hyper thyroid.  We will let you know how it goes at the V-E-T.

Please send purrs for me and for our friend Brian from Brian's Home blog whose sister Gracie is in the hospital and all the other kitties are sick too.
